Projects implemented with the attraction of funds from the placement of green bonds help to reduce emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases in the capital.
Of the RUB 70 bln received as a result of the placement of the 74th issue of Moscow bonds, almost 60 billion were spent on the construction and reconstruction of 21 stations of the Big Circle Line of the metro, 12 of which were opened at the end of 2021, and the remaining nine were commissioned in March 2023. The capital allocated another 10 bln for the purchase of 400 domestic-made electric buses from KAMAZ PJSC and the GAZ Group.
This is a special type of security that is not traded on the stock exchange, but at any time it can be redeemed by the city government from citizens at the request of the owner, with the preservation of all payments due. The volume of the bond issue is two billion rubles, the circulation period is two years, the coupon rate is 8.5% per annum, the income is paid quarterly. For comparison: the average rate on deposits for three months in the top 10 banks is currently 7.2% per annum, on savings accounts - 4.9%.
