The Moscow government signed an agreement with one of the leaders of the Russian IT market for the development of domestic unmanned aerial systems

The Moscow government and one of the country's largest IT holdings are implementing a number of measures aimed at developing the Federal Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) based on the industrial park Rudnevo. An agreement on cooperation on the sidelines of the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was signed by Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the City of Moscow, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the Capital, and Igor Kalganov, General Director of the company.


According to the document, the parties will jointly develop the unmanned aviation industry, drawing on the company's competencies, provide consulting support for the introduction of new models of unmanned aerial systems, and also conduct UAS flight tests at Moscow airfields and the flight test complex in the Rudnevo industrial park.


Cooperation between the city and the T1 company will allow to consolidate experience, knowledge, developments and direct them to the development of the Federal Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems. It is planned that the company will begin production of UAVs here, the test launch of which is scheduled for the end of 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, the holding intends to reach industrial capacity. To this end, a center for development, prototyping and additive technologies is being created in Rudnevo, design offices and a full-cycle production site, an automated warehouse, a training and piloting center will also be located. The creation of the center will give the city more than 100 new jobs.
