The Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy and the Moscow Investment Agency present you the next digest of the main investment events in the Russian capital.
On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the capital is implementing projects to popularize the industrial sector and attract attention to the activities of enterprises and scientific and technical centers of the city. Thus, from August 10 to September 8, the Expocentre will host the exhibition "Industrial Moscow. City of the Future", where the achievements of Mosprom will be presented, and the prospects for the development of the sector until 2030 will be discussed. Each visitor will be able to try themselves in the role of an aircraft designer, a developer of space systems and a machine operator. At the exhibition, you can learn about the development of the special economic zone (SEZ) "Technopolis Moscow", enterprises of the pharmaceutical, medical, cable, aviation and rocket and space industries, about mechanical engineering companies and others. Visitors can expect lectures from experts, a children's area, a food court and a space for master classes, where everyone can cook dishes from products of the capital's production under the guidance of famous chefs.
The Moscow government will support the annual national award in the field of future technologies "Vyzov". Scientists, engineers and inventors whose developments have significant potential to change people's lives for the better and have a practical implementation horizon of up to 10 years can apply for the award. This year, there are five nominations: "Engineering Solution", "Breakthrough", "Scientist of the Year", "Prospect" and "Discovery". The laureates will receive a cash reward of RUB 11 mln each. The application period for the award has already ended, and the names of the laureates will be announced at the ceremony, which will be held on December 19, 2024, at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall.
In the first five months of 2024, the capital's manufacturing enterprises increased their output by 19.1 percent. The leading industries include paper, food, furniture, pharmaceutical and jewelry companies. A significant share of the total volume is occupied by high-tech computer and optics, machinery and equipment production. Moscow industry is represented by over 4.200 enterprises and 725.000 various specialists. Among them are turners, engineers, adjusters, designers, operators of CNC machines and many others.
