The Youth Innovative Creativity Center, a city site for children and youth’s creative activities in the engineering and technical field, equipped with modern digital production equipment, where schoolchildren and students can gain knowledge and skills in the field of 3D design, prototyping, milling, turning, locksmithing, soldering, electrical and other activities.

Accelerators are time-limited startup support programs that are often based on funds, business incubators and technoparks. For a short period of time, the project team is placed in such conditions that make it possible to forcefully create a project or a project prototype that would be strong enough to enter the market and receive investments.

Specific features of acceleration programs for startups:

• The program runs in cycles that last a limited period of time (from 3 to 6 months), a limited number of projects take part in one cycle;
• Projects are represented by small teams that have an initial prototype or a formalized concept. Accelerators are not intended for single entrepreneurs. To enter the program, projects have to pass a serious competition (from 2% to 6% of the applying teams do);
• For projects, pre-seed investments are allocated to maintain the team and to develop a prototype. As a rule, investments are provided in exchange for a small share in the investor’s project;
• Accelerators provide strong expert support for the project, training, contacts with potential partners and investors, the project media coverage;
• The program involves the intensive work on the project, the participants working full-time (a frequent requirement posed by many programs is quitting the main job).
