To ensure comfortable transport links, the city is working to update and expand the metro infrastructure. Moscow has adopted an unprecedented metro construction program. The length of the metropolitan subway will grow 2 times. Metro within walking distance of the house will receive 90% of Muscovites.
The program provides for the creation of the Big Circle Line metro stations and expansion of the radial end stations (including in the territory of New Moscow). BCL will connect existing and prospective radial lines at a distance of up to 10 km from the existing Circle Line, which will relieve the existing transfer circuits.

In 2021, 11 new metro stations opened in Moscow. In 2022, it is planned to open another 7 stations.
