More than rub 8 bln of private investment will be attracted for the modernization of Lyubertsy sewage treatment plants

The second stage of Lyubertsy sewage treatment plants reconstruction is being completed in the capital. Key facilities for biological wastewater treatment are ready.

During the third stage of reconstruction, it is planned to modernize facilities for the extraction of phosphorus and removal of nitrogen from wastewater. Moscow City Urban Planning and Land Commission approved the possibility of implementing the project in the form of a concession, which allows equal consideration of the interests of both business and the city. The capital will receive a functioning facility, and the investor will receive income from its operation during the entire term of the agreement. Private investments in the construction of wastewater treatment facilities will amount to RUB 8.4 bln.
