The Moscow economy will develop in a positive direction in 2023, the Mayor said.

The capital did not stop a single city program in spite of sanctions pressure, said Sergei Sobyanin on the air of the TV Center television channel.

“Today, in the face of sanctions pressure, problems, and so on, we have not stopped a single program, not a single one. Now they ask me the question: “Will you stop the renovation program?” - We won't stop. “You will stop the construction of the metro than” - We won’t. We have not reduced anything anywhere and have not retreated a single step. You can see how we work,” said the Mayor of Moscow.

In Moscow, the construction of schools and microraions, the reconstruction of polyclinics and construction the new ones, the reorganization of industrial zones, the construction and commissioning of the Big Circle Metro Line, as well as the Moscow Central Diameters, continued.

Sergei Sobyanin also added that the Moscow economy will develop in a positive direction next year.

“We need to move on to economic growth next year. Even today, we have good dynamics in a number of industries, including in the manufacturing industry, we will end the year with a 10% growth. We assume that many of these problems will disappear and the volume of trade, catering, and services will recover next year. As for the manufacturing industry, we see that there will definitely be positive dynamics,” said the Mayor of Moscow.

The Moscow budget for 2023 has already been approved. Half of the city budget expenditures will be directed to social support, healthcare, education, culture, sports and other social projects.

“My rule and the rule of the Moscow Government is not to stop development in spite of any problems. Our infrastructure projects are a powerful impetus for the development of the economy as a whole,” added Sergei Sobyanin.
