In 2021, total investments in fixed assets in Moscow amounted to RUB 4.84 trn. More than 71% of the total invested funds (RUB 3.46 trn) are investments of large and medium-sized businesses. This is 19% more than in 2020.
Most of all, representatives of large and medium-sized businesses invest in activities related to transportation and storage. According to the results of last year, the volume of investments in this area amounted to RUB 759.58 bn, which is 22% of the total investment in fixed assets.
Investors are also developing information and communication technologies. The share of investments amounted to 13.2%, or almost RUB 456 bn. Almost 12% of the total volume, or RUB 407 bn, was invested by companies working in the field of finance and insurance, and almost RUB 300 bn were invested in real estate-related activities.
