In 2021, the Moscow's foreign trade turnover with the Middle East countries increased by 56% compared to 2020. At the same time, the Moscow's share in the all-Russian trade turnover is 36.5%. The main importers of the capital's products were Turkey, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Egypt.
In addition, in 2021, there was an increase in the volume of Moscow supplies of non-primary non-energy products. It amounted to almost USD 2.8 bn, which is 21.8% more than in 2020.
Moscow will host the Moscow - Middle East 2022 international teleconference on May 18 to maintain partnership relations and establish trade and economic ties. Prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation will be determined, the export potential of the capital's companies will be presented.
