Belarusian investments in Moscow have grown more than 7 times in 5 years

According to the latest data from the Central Bank of Russia, as of October 1, 2021, the accumulated volume of investments from Belarus to Moscow amounted to USD 820 m. Over 5 years, investments have increased by 7.6 times, and from October 2020 to October 2021, the growth was 60%. Typically, Belarusian investors put their money into trade, real estate, transport and logistics, industrial production.

In 2021, the volume of trade turnover amounted to USD 17 bn, which is 44.4% more than in 2020. The volume of exports from Moscow to Belarus last year reached USD 11.2 bn, and the volume of imports from Belarus to Moscow in 2021 amounted to USD 5.8 bn.
