Investments in the economy of Moscow in 2021 amounted to almost RUB 5 trn

In 2021, investments in fixed assets in Moscow amounted to RUB 4.84 trn, which is 18.9% higher than in the previous year. In the whole country, the investment growth was 7.7% in 2021. The high growth rate is associated with the advanced development of the financial and insurance industries, scientific and technical activities, wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing enterprises, as well as with existing support measures.

In 2021, Moscow companies invested the largest amount of funds in machinery and equipment – it is accounted for 37.4% of the total investment in fixed assets. The share of investments in the construction of buildings and structures and land improvement amounted to 31%.

The volume of investments in fixed assets of large and medium-sized organizations in Moscow amounted to RUB 3.5 trn last year.
