Moscow uses different mechanisms for selling personal cars’ places: at bidding through open auctions for a price increase, through a public offer and a purchase without declaring a price; as well as by pre-emptive right of redemption – this option is valid for citizens who live in the same or neighboring house where a parking space is for sale.
Last year, the city sold more than 6,500 parking spaces on electronic platforms – 4,000 more than in 2020. Most of the objects were offered in the capital’s North-Western and Eastern Administrative Districts – over 2,000.
