Moscow took the first place in the rating of Russian regions economic capacity

Moscow topped the new integral rating of Russian regions economic capacity, compiled by the Civil Society Development Foundation. The rating is based on data from the Federal State Statistics Service and the Federal Tax Service. It includes 33 regions of the country, which are ranked by the volume of value added tax transferred to the federal budget, the average monthly salary and the financial performance of regional companies.

The Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Regions, St. Petersburg and the Moscow Region also joined the top five.

Moscow enterprises and organizations transferred to the federal budget more than RUB 1.25 tn in value added tax during the first 10 months of 2021. It is 34% more than during the same period in 2020.
