In 2021, the growth of manufacturing output from January to November was 30.6% compared to the same period in 2020. The increase was mainly due to the chemical, electronic and food industries and production of medicines.
Increases were also seen in machinery, light industry, paper production, and wood processing. The growth of manufacturing industry had a significant impact on the industrial output in Moscow in total: in 11 months of the last year it increased by 29.2% comparing to the rate of the same period in 2020.
