The export of Moscow companies to Eastern Europe has more than doubled

In January–May 2021, Moscow's non-primary non-energy exports to Eastern European countries amounted to almost USD 1.5 bn. Compared to the figures for the same period in 2020 and 2019, the volume of exports increased by 135.8% and 130.8%, respectively.

Non-primary non-energy exports to the region are mainly represented by industrial products, which account for more than 95% of the total structure.

The main trading partners of the capital in the region include Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania.
