Moscow is relatively equidistant from the major markets of Eastern Europe, CIS and the Baltic states.

Moscow is advantageously located at the crossing of the international transport corridors ‘North-South’ and ‘West-East’. The travel time by public motorways to the Baltic and Black Sea ports as well as to the regional centres of the European part of Russia and the Volga Region does not exceed 24 hours.

Moscow as the core of the Moscow conurbation

In 2012, Moscow’s territory was increased 2.5 times. By annexing the New Moscow and Troitsk Administrative Districts, the city obtained considerable territorial reserves (148 hectares) to create new growth points and form long-term employment clusters.
