Purchasing low-floor trams

Brief description of the Project: The Project involves purchasing of new generation low-floor trams having improved performance characteristics, to be operated on the territory of Moscow:

  • smooth running,
  • reduced noise level,
  • adaptation for use of low-mobility citizens,
  • satellite navigation,
  • video equipment,
  • satellite navigation,
  • electronic displays,
  • air conditioning and heating.

Within 30 years the manufacturer should provide for the increased rolling stock availability rate (rolling stock availability rate for the contract is 0.9).

The scope of financing: 56.2 billion rubles (in accordance with the tender of 2016), information on the Project financing in subsequent years is to be confirmed.

Result (2017 - 2049): Supply of low-floor trams with subsequent maintenance.

Current sales status: A contract worth 56.2 billion rubles was signed with OJSC METROVAGONMASH. The contract provides for the supply of 300 low-floor trams to the SUE Mosgortrans on the terms of the LCC (Life Cycle Contract). All trams should be delivered between 2017 and 2019 (100 trams per year). The manufacture of trams in the framework of the Contract implementation will be arranged at the production facilities of Tver Carriage Works.

The Contract provides for the supply of three-section trams 71-931M Vityaz-M, designed by LLC Transport Systems PC. The nominal capacity of the tram is 185 passengers, including at least 60 seats and 1 seat for wheelchair user with retainer fixture and operator awareness systems. The reserve of the autonomous tramway is 1.5 km, design speed is 75 km / h. The interior of the cabin is made of aluminum alloys, the tram is equipped with climate control systems, a wide passage and the largest number of doors for three-section trams – six doors. Passenger cars are equipped with Wi-Fi repeaters, GPS / GLONASS location sensors, as well as media complexes for advertising purposes having connection to the emergency notification system of the Emergency Situations Ministry.
